Ripken The Bat Dog
Ripken the bat dog is a local superstar. He’s a Labrador retriever that helps… you guessed it… retrieve the players’ bats for the Durham Bulls (among other sports teams). I thought his skills would make for a very entertaining video so I asked the Durham Bulls if they could send me a clip of him retrieving a bat. Using TikTok’s native editing tools, I put some simple text on the video and added a voiceover. The word “viral” gets thrown around way too often, but this video went truly viral gaining almost six million views. It’s a true testament to the idea that simple content is the best content (also, people love dogs).
